A critical article was published on the social network about the fact that the installation of solar panels in state organizations, hospitals and schools, and private buildings has become a monopoly. The Ministry of Energy responded to this.

According to it, the events reported in the article were reported on behalf of anonymous persons, and the facts are completely untrue.

"Today, as in the whole world, the introduction of environmentally friendly and cheap renewable energy sources in our country is of urgent importance. These energy sources serve to prevent problems that may arise in the supply of electricity to consumers. It will also save several hundred million cubic meters of natural gas and stop the release of several hundred thousand tons of harmful gases into the atmosphere," the ministry said.

It is reported that the installation of small power solar photoelectric systems in Uzbekistan is not carried out by the state, but by business entities (private enterprises). Today, in the republic there are more than 100 business entities engaged in the installation of solar photoelectric systems and solar water heating devices, as well as their service.

They are not connected with any big companies in Uzbekistan, they operate independently of each other and enter into competition. There are no restrictions on direct purchase of solar photoelectric systems from abroad, import into the territory of the country, delivery and installation to customers, as well as provision of service to them.

"That is, representatives of the population, entrepreneurs can sign a contract with the business entity of their choice and install solar photovoltaic systems in their territory. In this case, there are no coercions and circumstances that cause difficulties in purchasing (such as high prices, interest increases) absolutely not allowed," the report said.

It is noted that at the beginning of 2023, the price of installing a solar panel equal to 1 kW was 11.5 million soums, while today this number is 8.5 million soums. . Therefore, it proves that there is competition in the industry and that entrepreneurs are interested in reducing the cost for the customer and creating additional benefits for them.
