The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation announced that by the end of 2023, the 18,000-bed student residences specified in the state program will be fully completed.
It is noted that currently 48 thousand 976 students (30 percent) need accommodation in the city of Tashkent, and they have to live in private apartments based on the terms of rent. When talking with these students through tutors, 23 thousand 774 students (2nd, 3rd, 4th years) reported that there is a rental apartment in Tashkent. That is, most of them have kept the rental houses they have been living in or booked them in advance.
In this case, there are 25 thousand 202 students who need to live in rented apartments (they do not have a place in the dormitory, they do not have their own house, a close relative does not exist, and the rental apartment is not clear).
Newly found rental houses (based on a rough selection from the list) and information about rental houses (address, information kiosks were established where the owner's name, phone number, and the price of the rental house are indicated).
In the 2023/2024 academic year, students of the 1st year will be accommodated in the student accommodation of the state higher education institution by submitting a free electronic application through public service centers and my.gov.uz. Applications will be accepted from August 20. Also, placement of students of the 2nd year and above in student accommodation is carried out traditionally.
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation announced in March that by the end of 2023, 18,000 student residences will be built and commissioned in Uzbekistan. At that time, it was said that it was planned to increase the student accommodation fund by 127,000 places by the end of the year.
