The youth team of Tajikistan became the bronze medalist of the CAFA-2023 youth championship

The fourth championship of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) among youth teams under 20 has ended in Tajikistan.

As a result of the tournament, the youth team of Tajikistan under the leadership of the head coach Rahmatullo Fuzailov became the bronze medalist.

In the final round, the youth team of Tajikistan (U-17) lost in an equal fight to the youth team of Iran with a score of 1:2. As part of our team, Bekhruz Khudjaev scored a goal.

In another meeting of the fourth round, the national team of Uzbekistan beat the team of Afghanistan - 4:0.

Thus, the national team of Uzbekistan became the winner of the CAFA-2023 youth championship, which scored 10 points in four matches played. Silver medals went to the Iranian team, which has 9 points. The top three was closed by the youth team of Tajikistan. According to the results of the tournament, Rakhmatullo Fuzailov's team has 5 points. At the tournament ended, our team beat Turkmenistan (4:2) and tied with the teams of Afghanistan (1:1) and Uzbekistan (1:1).

Vice-President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Dilshod Jurazoda and Secretary General of the Central Asian Football Association Ulugbek Karimov took part in the awards ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the CAFA-2023 youth championship.

Following the results of the competition, the Fair Play prize was awarded to the team of Afghanistan, the special prize went to the team of Turkmenistan. The top scorer of the tournament was awarded to Iranian national team player Reza Mirzayan, who scored six goals. And the most useful player of the CAFA-2023 youth championship was named the captain of the national team of Uzbekistan Muhammadali Urinboev.
