The world's ugliest fish

The blobfish, which was voted the "world's ugliest animal" in 2013, has been named New Zealand's "Fish of the Year." The competition is aimed at protecting New Zealand's marine life. The blobfish won with 1,300 votes out of more than 5,500.
Although the blobfish's shape may seem unusual, in its natural deep-sea environment it looks like a normal fish. Because of its soft body, this species is endangered.
