According to UNICEF, the lives and health of 190 million children in African states are at risk due to lack of clean water. Children in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Côte d'ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Nigeria and Somalia are particularly high.
Almost a third of children in the above countries do not have water in their home, and two-thirds do not have access to basic sanitation services. And one in four children lives in conditions where there are not even ordinary toilets. Most of them do not even have the opportunity to wash hands soapy.
It has not yet been possible to determine in which state exactly the woman who is said to have helped to release clean drinking water in Africa did it.
