The Uzbek army is the strongest army in Central Asia

According to the 2026 Global Firepower portal, Uzbekistan ranked 53rd out of 145 countries with a score of 0.9908, which is the highest in Central Asia.
The Armed Forces of Uzbekistan have 470 tanks, 8,692 armored vehicles, 159 aircraft and 101 helicopters. It ranks 32nd in terms of the number of serviceable personnel and 49th in terms of defense budget. The ranking of Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan - 58, Turkmenistan - 78, Tajikistan - 100, Kyrgyzstan - 109. The first three belong to the USA, Russia and China. 
The GFP index is a non-governmental project run by Daniel Puchetti, a blogger based in the United States, and has not disclosed the sources on which the rating is based, nor the formula by which the calculations are made.
