In an interview with Afghan National Television, the ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kabul, Ataynkhoja Shodmonov said that there are two main demands for worldwide recognition of the Taliban government. The interview was posted on YouTube.

The ambassador stressed that the Taliban government will be recognized by Uzbekistan and other countries if it focuses on the basic requirements of the international community.

"Today, the demands made by the world community for the recognition of the Afghan government are known to us. The treaty between Afghanistan and the United States, signed in Doha, provides many points. The main of them is the establishment of an inclusive government in Afghanistan. The issue is serious, and today there is a demand from the Afghan government that all nationalities and confessional representatives should be accommodated. This is a requirement of the world community.

Secondly, compliance with women's rights is required not only in Afghanistan, but all over the world. I think that if the Afghan government focuses on these two main requirements, it will be recognized not only by Uzbekistan, but also by the entire world community,” emphasized Khodamirkhoja Shodmonov.

The ambassador noted that Afghanistan has positive results in the withdrawal from the economic crisis and the fight against drugs, in which relevant work is being carried out.

Ataynokha Shodmonov noted that Uzbekistan seeks to develop good relations with Afghanistan. According to him, in the near future, a high-level delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan will come to Kabul and hold a major meeting with the leaders of the Taliban.
