The United States donated equipment to Tajikistan for the development of the energy sector

Today, U.S. Ambassador to Tajikistan Manuel Micaller and Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Daler Juma attended the ceremony of handing over 59 containers of transformer equipment worth $4.5 million, the U.S. Embassy reports.

At the ceremony, it was noted that this modern equipment is designed for installation at key electrical substations and helps to reduce technical losses that usually occur due to overloads in transmission networks.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Micaller stressed that electricity plays a key role in economic development and stability.

It was noted that energy not only contributes to the development of health care and education, but also provides access to clean water and other vital resources, which is an integral part of ensuring a high level of quality of life in Tajikistan.
