The peace summit on Ukraine will be held in Istanbul at the end of October, writes Bloomberg. Earlier, similar meetings were held in Saudi Arabia and Denmark.
Turkey plans to hold the third peace summit on the issue of Ukraine. A meeting in this format was previously held in Denmark and Saudi Arabia, Bloomberg reports, citing sources, on Thursday, October 5.

The meeting is planned to be held in Istanbul at the end of October. Bloomberg writes that the participants will discuss "ways to achieve sustainable peace in Ukraine". According to the agency, the summit will be attended by "a limited number of officials", including Jake Sullivan, the US president's national security adviser. Allies hope that a Chinese representative will also attend the meeting, but there is no firm agreement yet.

Bloomberg notes that Russia's representatives were not invited to the meeting, which previously called such summits "illegal".

The summit agenda includes a peace plan for Ukraine

Ukrainian and Western officials are trying to persuade the leaders of countries such as Brazil and India, which have largely taken a neutral stance on Russian military actions, to oppose Moscow's policy, writes Bloomberg. Allies see the summit as an opportunity for Ukraine to explain its position directly to these countries.

On the agenda of the summit in Turkey is Volodymyr Zelensky's peace plan and the president's intention to hold a global summit on these proposals later this year.
