The Theme of Met Gala 2026 Has Been Announced

The theme of the highly anticipated and widely discussed annual fashion event, Met Gala 2026, has finally been revealed. The announcement was made by Vogue magazine.

The dress code for Met Gala 2026 is “Fashion Is Art.” This means that celebrities and designers are expected not only to showcase clothing, but to present fashion as a true form of art.

Traditionally, the ball is tied to the exhibition of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. This year’s exhibition, titled “Costume Art,” will explore fashion alongside painting, sculpture, and other art forms. Met Gala 2026 will take place on May 4. The full official guest list has not yet been announced. However, the annual co-chairs have already been revealed: Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.
