The Taliban Marked the Fifth Anniversary of Seizing Power in Afghanistan

On August 15, the Taliban marked the fifth anniversary of their seizure of power in Afghanistan. A military parade was held in Kabul, featuring displays of Taliban armored vehicles and flags.
Taliban Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani described their return to power as the result of spiritual resilience, courage, and divine aid. However, international organizations emphasize that the humanitarian situation and issues regarding women's rights in Afghanistan remain critical. Under Taliban rule, 2.5 million Afghan girls have been deprived of the opportunity to receive an education.
