The Taliban banned women from studying midwifery and nursing in Afghanistan.

Those who were studying in these fields were also denied the opportunity to complete their education. One of the few remaining avenues open to women seeking education in Afghanistan was through colleges offering nursing or midwifery courses. According to the World Health Organization, Afghanistan has one of the worst maternal mortality rates in the world.

❗️ Women seeing male doctors;
❗️ Women going to the hospital alone;
❗️ women are not allowed to visit parks,
❗️ families and women are not allowed to enter restaurants with parks or green areas,
❗️ commercials featuring women are not allowed to be broadcast,
❗️ bargaining with women vendors,
❗️ women are not allowed to talk to each other.
