More than 4 million tons of cargo were transported by rail in Tajikistan, which exceeds last year’s figure by 11.5%
Over 8 months of 2023, more than 7 million tons of cargo were transported by road.
This was reported by the Agency for Statistics in the republic.
It is noted that this accounts for 94.4% of the total volume of cargo transportation of all types of transport.
Thus, the flow of transportation by motor transport, compared to January-August 2022, increased by 14.0%, the Statistics Agency stated.
According to published statistics:
1. More than 24 million tons were transported in the Khatlon region, which is 35% of the total volume of cargo transportation.
2. In the Sughd region, over 22 million tons of cargo were transported - 31% of the total volume.
3. In the Regions of Republican Subordination - over 12 million tons (16.9%).
4.
In Dushanbe - more than 11 million tons (16.2%).
5.
In the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region - 613 thousand tons (0.9%).
In addition, more than 4 million tons of cargo were transported by rail in Tajikistan.
This figure exceeds last year’s by 11.5%, the agency concluded.

Earlier, the Statistics Agency of Tajikistan stated that over 8 months of 2023, more than 75 million tons of cargo were transported by all types of transport, which exceeds the 2022 figure by 13.8%.
