The share of local products in the construction of hotels in Uzbekistan will be increased to 95 percent

A major two-year program for the development of tourism infrastructure in the regions has been adopted. This was announced at a meeting chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev. According to the President, it is planned to build 34 large tourism facilities and more than 1,000 accommodation facilities, including 200 new hotels, within the framework of the program.

It is noted that the share of local building materials in the construction of the Kumushkon Resort tourism complex, which will soon be commissioned in the Parkent district of the Tashkent region, is 98 percent. In this regard, the heads of the regions were tasked with increasing the share of local products in the hotels under construction to at least 95 percent.

To this end, it was determined to increase the production of products used in the construction and decoration of hotels by the end of 2027. In particular, it is planned to increase the production of paints and varnishes to 150,000 tons, plumbing products to 2 million units, PVC pipes and fittings to 300,000 tons, floral paper to 7.5 million tons, and decorative panels to 18 million square meters.
