The second international crafts festival has started in the city of Kokan

The international crafts festival, which is being held for the second time, has started in Kokan city. "Daryo" reporter Azizjon Ermatov reports about this.

It is noted that master craftsmen, masters of folk art, experts, honored guests, culture and art representatives from more than 70 countries are expected to participate in the festival.

About a thousand artisans from all regions of the country will participate and demonstrate their products at the festival, which is held in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the "Hunarmand" association and the Fergana regional government.

Within the framework of the festival, ceremonial processions of the participants, exhibition and trade of products of local and foreign artisans, scientific conference on the topic "World practice in the field of preservation and development of traditional arts and crafts", fashion show with the participation of international and Uzbek artisans-designers, folk dances, " The presentation of the book-album "Handicrafts of Uzbekistan" will be held.

Also, an international craft museum will be opened in Kokand, tours will be organized along cultural and entertainment places and tourist routes of Fergana.

A competition between local and foreign craftsmen will be held as part of the International Crafts Festival. The exhibition of products and master classes of the participants of the competition will be evaluated by the international jury in 5 nominations.

The winners of the competition will be awarded with a special diploma and cash prizes ranging from $2,000 to $7,000.

Events within the framework of the international crafts festival will continue until September 23.
