From August 1, the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat introduces innovations regarding visa processing. According to the new rules, a Russian visa applicant needs to fill out an electronic application form on the visa.kdmid.ru website and sign up for receiving documents in an electronic queue at q.midpass. The diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation announced this on its official Telegram channel.
During July, while the new system is being introduced, the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan will also accept regular paper questionnaires from applicants. However, from August 1, a Russian visa applicant will be able to submit an application form only in electronic form.
