The retirement age in Uzbekistan may be raised starting in 2028.

New changes to improve the pension system in Uzbekistan have been proposed. The Ministry of Economy and Finance has submitted the relevant draft resolution for public discussion.
According to the draft, starting in 2028, the retirement age will be raised by three months annually. Consequently, plans are in place for the retirement age to reach 63 for men and 58 for women by 2039.
Additionally, starting in 2027, the period of earnings used to calculate pensions will be gradually extended from 5 years to 20 years. The 10 percent of the period with the lowest income will be excluded from the calculation.
The required seven-year work history for an old-age pension will also be gradually increased, reaching 15 years by 2034.
Furthermore, the upper limit on earnings used for pension calculations will be raised for citizens who retire later and pay higher social taxes.
A proposal has been made for the state to allocate additional funds to the voluntary funded pension accounts of certain citizens starting in 2027.
Plans are also in place to allow the use of funded pension assets for treating serious illnesses and for mortgage down payments, starting in 2030.
These proposals are currently in the draft resolution stage.
