The document envisaged moving the airport to a plot of land located 45 kilometers from Tashkent.
According to the annex, some decisions of the government are considered to have lost their force from September 1, 2024.
It envisages the cancellation of a total of 493 documents from 1989 to 2023.
The decision No. 345 of July 24, 1992 on the relocation of the Tashkent airport was also canceled in the document. The decision was made to select a plot of land located 45 kilometers southwest of Tashkent and 12 kilometers north of Chinoz.
In 2020, the former head of Uzbekistan Airports, Ravshan Ismailov, said that it was planned to move the airport to Angren or Chinoz, and in 2022, the current head of Uzbekistan Airports, Rano Jorayeva, said that it was planned to move the airport outside the capital.
