The unexpected resignation of Rano Jorayeva, chairman of the board of JSC "Uzbekistan Airports", is connected with her return to Moscow. Some publications are writing about it. On August 7, it became known that R. Jorayeva, who headed Uzbekistan Airports for two and a half years, left her job, and Javlonbek Umarkhojayev took her place. The sudden resignation of the manager, whose contract was extended for 3 years in November 2022, was officially recognized as having made major changes in the company. According to Telegram channel "Vzglyad na Vostok", R. Jorayeva, one of the best top managers in the post-Soviet space and a specialist in unmanned aerial vehicles, is considered a very necessary person for Russia at the moment. "According to information, Russia needs the skills of a specialist who graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute with a red diploma. On the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, a national program for the development of unmanned devices is being prepared in the country," Vzglyad na Vostok writes. Russia's need for military equipment, especially combat drones, is said to be increasing at a time when the war of aggression against Ukraine is going on. Yesterday, on August 7, Putin ordered the head of Rostex, Sergey Chemezov, to increase the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and kamikaze drones. In turn, the head of "Rostex" said that the necessary military equipment will be fully delivered to the Ministry of Defense. Rana Frunzevna Jorayeva has worked in leadership positions in the field of aviation and space in Russia for many years. Since February 2021, he has been working as the chairman of "Uzbekistan Airports". Uzbek blogger Kainbek explained his resignation from a different angle. "In my opinion, the early dismissal of Rano Jorayeva from the position of head of Uzbekistan Airports is a victory for the "old wolves" of the air transport system. They were interested in the airport remaining as a permanent cash cow, not as an independent and profitable company," the blogger writes. Management expert Aziza Umarova also praised the work of R. Jorayeva and emphasized that she managed to create a small aviation system in a short period of time, which others could not do in 30 years. Source: khabar.uz
