Today, on May 25, the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial and Legal Affairs and the Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh considered the candidacy of Judge Bolotbek Akmatov to the Council for Justice Affairs at its extraordinary meeting. This was reported by the press service of the LCD.

During the discussion, deputy Gulya Kozhokulova drew attention to the biography of Bolotbek Akmatov, raising the question of the reasons for leaving the position of senior investigator for the position of assistant shepherd in 1989. “This raises some doubts,” she said, also recalling his disciplinary sanctions.

As a result of the discussion, the Committee decided to recommend to the Jogorku Kenesh to reject his candidacy.

In addition, the Committee considered and approved the issue of dismissal of a member of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Eshimov in connection with the entry into force of the decision of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.
