The procedure for collecting tax debts and problem loans in Uzbekistan will be updated

According to the presidential decree, the system for collecting tax debts and problem loans will be digitized in cooperation with the Prosecutor General's Office, the Central Bank and the Tax Committee. Now, the possibility of selling seized property through an electronic online auction by the decision of the state bailiff will be created. In some cases, the seizure of property of legal entities will be carried out by authorized employees of tax authorities or commercial banks. Also, the collection of problem loans will be assigned to specialized state bailiffs, and an additional 400 positions will be allocated to the system of the compulsory enforcement bureau. In addition, from May 1, 2026, the use of certain services will be restricted for alimony debtors. From July 1, motor vehicles and real estate transferred to state revenue will be transferred directly to the State Assets Management Agency.
