Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov paid an official visit to Tbilisi and met with the head of the Georgian government Irakli Garibashvili. Within the framework of the meeting, issues of development of cooperation in various fields based on the principles of mutual respect and cooperation were discussed. Irakliy Garibashvili noted that in 2021-2022, a significant increase in bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and Georgia was observed, that Georgia considers the Republic of Uzbekistan an important partner, is interested in cooperation in attracting investments, and encourages Uzbek investors in Georgia He noted that he was pleased to welcome him. During the meeting, the Prime Ministers discussed the transit potential of Georgia and the importance of developing the middle corridor. At the end of the visit, the parties signed the Action Program for the development of bilateral cooperation between the countries for 2023-2024.
