The president was informed about the progress of construction projects in the capital

Shavkat Mirziyoyev was informed about the progress of creative projects in Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the President.

According to him, Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid the cornerstone for the construction of the Olympic city on November 9, 2022. It has an area of 100 hectares and will build a 10,000-seat athletics and football stadium, 6 indoor and 7 outdoor sports facilities, a water sports palace, velotrek, yakkakurash, team sports complexes. It will host the 2025 Youth Asian and Paraasio games.

The project is being implemented in conjunction with the Chinese company CAMC Engineering, which has built sports facilities in 70 countries around the world. More than a thousand workers and engineers, advanced techniques were involved in the construction. To date, the underground work of the 7 main buildings has been fully completed. The next stages are continuing with intensity.

Another City, New Tashkent, is planned to be built near this area. The head of state had laid the cornerstone for it on March 18. In the first stage of the project, apartment buildings for 60 thousand residents, administrative buildings for government agencies, parks, social and economic facilities will be built.

The presentation informed about the preliminary work on this subject. Today, a steering wheel has been created to design the city and coordinate construction. The boundaries of the territory were approved and inventoried with the cadastral agency. Contracts have been concluded with companies from Singapore, the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Turkey and local entrepreneurs on various stages of infrastructure and architectural solutions.

In particular, the project, developed by Singapore's Meinhardt Group, places special emphasis on the location of objects of the social sphere, transport networks and roads connecting them with the capital. The presentation also revealed the interior architectural appearance of the Islamic Civilization Center. The museum, which will take place from the center, will reflect the scientific heritage of the thinkers grandfathers, the atmosphere of the time in which they lived.

The head of state gave additional instructions for timely, high-quality construction of projects.
