The President signed the first electric cars

On June 27, Shavkat Mirziyoyev went to Jizzakh region. There, he got acquainted with the activities of BYD Uzbekistan Factory joint venture, a manufacturer of electric cars, and signed the first electric cars.

This plant was launched in January this year during the visit of the head of state to China, and has the capacity to produce 50,000 electric cars per year.

It is planned to expand the range of models at the plant in the coming years. It is planned to increase the number of electric cars to 200,000 units per year in the second stage, worth $300 million, and to 500,000 units in the third stage, worth $500 million.
