Recall that on May 8, 2023, Arslan Kurmanbekov tragically died while performing his duty as part of an operational group to extinguish a fire on a mountainside in the Ile-Alatau Natural Park. Arslan Kurmanbekov was born on August 23, 1994 in Talgar, Talgar district, Almaty region. He started his career as a trainee firefighter-rescuer of the specialized fire department No. 9 of the State Institution "SPiASR" of the Emergency Department of Almaty. He worked as a firefighter, senior firefighter-rescuer in the fire department No. 1 of the State Institution "SPiASR" of the Emergency Department of Almaty. He was appointed to the position of senior firefighter-rescuer of the Fire department No. 7 of the Fire Extinguishing and Emergency Rescue Service of the Department of Emergency Situations of the city of Almaty by the Ministry of Emergency Situations in 2019.
