Report informs, noting that relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are of a strategic nature, the head of state stressed that our relations are successfully developing in all areas, the agenda of bilateral relations is broad.

Noting that the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Azerbaijan last year and his visit to Kazakhstan this year are being successfully implemented and their implementation is constantly in the spotlight, President Ilham Aliyev regarded this as an indicator of a high level of cooperation . The head of state noted that the ties between our countries are of great importance for regional cooperation, including interaction in the Caspian basin and in a wider space. The President of Azerbaijan said that there is great potential for further expansion of this cooperation, stressing that all this also serves to increase the volume of trade, create additional business opportunities, and implement large-scale projects in energy, transport and other areas.

Noting that our country is the most important trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan in the South Caucasus, the guest said that last year the volume of mutual trade increased by 40 percent, exceeding $460 million, expressed satisfaction with the preservation of this dynamics this year, stressed that there is room for further capacity building.

At the meeting, the construction by Kazakhstan of the Center for the Creative Development of Children in the city of Fuzuli was highly appreciated, the activities of the intergovernmental commission were noted, and views were exchanged on cooperation between our countries in the oil, transport, shipbuilding, humanitarian fields, in the field of information and communication technologies and other areas.

The recent increase in the volume of cargoes of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, as well as third parties transported along the Middle Corridor through the Caspian Sea, was noted with satisfaction, and the importance of building up joint efforts of our countries in this direction was emphasized.

During the conversation, the prospects for the participation of companies of friendly Kazakhstan in various projects in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan were discussed.
