The President instructed the Ministry of Energy to "strictly put an end" to the practice of cutting off electricity from industrial enterprises without warning. The commission headed by the prime minister should develop the energy balance by regions every month, taking into account additional production volumes.
At the meeting held on September 8, Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan to "strictly put an end" to the practice of disconnecting industrial enterprises from electricity supply without prior notification. Sherzod Asadov, press secretary of the president, informed about this.
First of all, the head of state showed the importance of paying special attention to issues related to the supply of energy resources.
In this regard, Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the commission headed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov to visit all regions within a month and develop the monthly energy balance of the regions, taking into account additional production volumes. Also, the commission should review the projects to be launched this year one by one and allocate the necessary energy resources to them.
Speaking about additional production volumes, the President noted that working groups visited the regions in order to identify new opportunities and reserves for increasing the volume of industrial production. For example, in the Toshloq district of the Fergana region, there is an opportunity to produce an additional 1 trillion soums by the end of the year.
In particular, 23 industrial enterprises that have reduced production have all estimates for the production of products worth 900 billion soums due to the restoration of capacities. In exchange for accelerating the launch of 22 new projects in the district, it is possible to produce products worth 50 billion soums.
At the meeting, it was noted that there are similar opportunities in Andijan, Kashkadarya, Navoi, Samarkand and Khorezm regions.
