The presentation of the book "Dunei Maryam" took place in Dushanbe

Within the framework of the Republican contest of professional theaters "Parastu – 2023" on May 3, the presentation of a book about the People's Artist of Tajikistan Maryam Isoeva "Dunei Maryam" (Mir Maryam) was held at the Tajik State Academic Drama Theater named after Abulkasim Lahuti, the correspondent of NIAT "Khovar" reports.

The publication is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the talented actress known in our republic and abroad and the 65th anniversary of her creative activity on the stage of the theater. The book contains articles, her interviews, poems, memoirs.

Maryam Isoeva is known for the films "Family Secrets", "The Secret of the forgotten ferry", "The Legend of Rustam", "Hassan Arbakesh", "Where the water flows from".

The presentation brought together creative intelligentsia, writers, actors, film critics, theater lovers and fans of the actress' creativity.

Talking about her work, the People's Artist of Tajikistan noted that the theater for people is a spectacle that fascinates. The stage is a mirror that teaches people how to live, act, love, everything that is necessary for a person. The Spanish poet, playwright, musician Federico Garcia Lorca said that a nation that does not have its own theater is not a people. The theater is a reflection of the culture and art of the people. "Not everyone can be an actor. Having worked in theater and cinema for so many years, I can say that there is a difference between actors, some play, others create. It seems to me that the audience does not understand the difference between these concepts, and sometimes the actors themselves do not understand it. Facial expressions, gestures, the image of the hero is a game. When an actor lives someone else's life with his whole soul, feels his hero and conveys exactly his feelings — this is the creation of an image. The uniqueness of talented actors lies in what they create," Maryam Isoeva said about acting.

Deputy Chairman of the Tajik Society of Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Musharrafa Sharipova in her speech noted the importance of Maryam Isoeva's public activities. "We can talk a lot about her creative activity. This is a huge world of roles played by her and images transmitted to the audience, but very little is said about her public work. The same number of years she spent on the stage of the theater, the same amount she is engaged in public work in TODKS and is a member of the board of the societies "Tajikistan — India", "Tajikistan — Russia", "Tajikistan — Iran". She always speaks at international forums and events. In addition, she is a member of the Board of the Peace and Accord Committee of Tajikistan," Musharrafa Sharipova said.

As noted in the conversation by a famous writer, playwright and publicist Mansur Surush, there is hardly a person in Tajikistan who would not know who Maryam Isoeva is. "This is a legendary actress of theater and cinema, the Everest of theatrical art. She has worked in the theater all her life and has remained true to her vocation. Performing roles, she masterfully reincarnates. This is especially evident when she plays mothers. In addition, she is an excellent teacher who generously shares her rich experience and broad knowledge in the field of theatrical art with her students," the interlocutor noted.
