The powers of the Ministry of Economy and Finance have been expanded

The Ministry is responsible for the implementation of the state industrial policy and the development of basic industries.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decision aimed at rapid development of industry and its supporting sectors.

The tasks and functions of the implementation of the state industrial policy and the development of basic industries are assigned to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Previously, it was entrusted to the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, and the Ministry retained the directions of production, investment, export, localization and development of industrial zones in local industries.

Taking into account the powers given by the Ministry of Economy and Finance for the development of industry, the deputies of the Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kochkarov have been assigned additional tasks.

First Deputy Minister Ilhom Norkulov will now be responsible for assessing the risks of the global economic and financial situation and the market situation for local producers and exporters.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Bobur Khojayev is charged with:

Coordinating the activities of regional departments and units of the Ministry of Economy and Finance for industrial development, developing industrial policy and being responsible for its implementation;
monitoring the volume of production of industrial products in large industrial enterprises and regions and identifying and eliminating existing risks in achieving forecast indicators;
turning enterprises into basic industries, reducing the cost of products and services, increasing their financial stability and operational efficiency;
Together with the Ministry of Energy - to develop and implement strategies for the reform and development of electricity and natural gas markets;
analysis and adoption of measures to improve the tariff policy in economic sectors.
Deputy Minister Adiz Boboyev is engaged in improving the production infrastructure for the industrial development of the regions, analyzing the state of infrastructure provision of industrial zones and newly established large enterprises, and coordinating their financing.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance plans to establish a project bureau for the implementation of industrial policy and the development of directions for the development of basic industries with the involvement of international consulting companies.
