The President signed the law "On making additions and amendments to certain legal documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan". According to it, if a deputy or senator receives a permanent residence certificate of a foreign country or another document confirming the right to permanent residence in the territory of a foreign country, their powers will be terminated prematurely.
The document entered into force on July 4, 2024.
