The Azerbaijani Parliament adopted the draft state budget for 2024 in the first reading.
According to the document, next year Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues will amount to 34.173 billion manats, expenses – 36.763 billion manats. Including centralized revenues will amount to almost 33.4 billion manats, and local ones – 773.105 million manats. At the same time, centralized expenses are projected in the amount of 35.98 billion manats, local - 782.453 million manats.
The main item of state budget expenditure next year will be economic activity, for which 7.7 billion manats will be allocated. In addition, spending on defense and security in the 2024 state budget is projected at 6.4 billion manats, and the provision of public services at 4.8 billion manats.
It is expected that next year's state budget expenditures on social protection and education will amount to 4.5 billion manats each, and on healthcare – 1.8 billion manats.
