In Uzbekistan, medical students now take exams without the human factor with the help of robot-simulators. This was reported by SSV information service.

According to him, a number of changes are being implemented in higher medical education aimed at assessing the knowledge and skills of students and ensuring that they become qualified personnel. Oktam Ismailov, head of the Department of Science and Education of the Ministry of Health, informed about the news in this regard.

"Starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of undergraduate, graduate and clinical residency students will be evaluated without the human factor, using special robot simulators," says Oktam Ismailov.

In the "Road map" approved by the President's decision "On measures for the effective organization of public administration in the field of health care within the framework of administrative reforms", medical institutions of higher education and institutions for improving and retraining medical personnel the task of purchasing simulator equipment at the expense of extra-budgetary funds was set. The institutions are working on the integration of this equipment.

Students are allowed to work as doctors if they pass clinical exams. From the 2024/2025 academic year, a two-stage state examination system will be introduced in all state and non-state medical higher education institutions.

At the 1st stage, students pass the final state exams in fundamental sciences, and at the 2nd stage, the level of mastery of clinical sciences is evaluated. Those who successfully pass the preliminary exam are allowed to transfer from one course to another, and those who show good results in clinical knowledge tests are allowed to work as doctors in practice.

Our human factor also conducts entrance exams for internships and internships. With the relevant order of the Minister of Health, in order to organize examinations for clinical residency and internship in the 2023/2024 academic year, the set of subjects to be tested, evaluation criteria and the group of experts who form them were approved.

The news is that starting from this year, entrance exams for clinical residency and internship will be completely free of the human factor. Hitherto, the interview-based admission process will be stopped.

Now, entrance exams for clinical residency and internship specialties at medical higher education institutions and their branches, the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers, republican specialized scientific and practical medical centers, scientific research institutes are conducted by the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency on the basis of one-stage tests. will be held.

In this case, it is determined that the payment of half of the BHM for each applicant will be paid by the relevant medical educational institution. The organization of admission processes twice a year also provides an additional opportunity for candidates.

Private medical institutions participate in the training of specialists in narrow fields. Based on the above-mentioned "Memory of the Road", it is planned to organize training and professional development of a narrow range of specialists on the basis of clinical residency programs in leading private clinics.

Also, a number of departments of state medical institutions of higher education, such as surgery, cardiology, dentistry, and therapy, are allowed to establish educational and clinical practice bases in advanced private multidisciplinary medical institutions. Admission processes for clinical residency in private medical institutions, as in state institutions, are carried out twice a year by the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Skills in the form of a one-stage test.
