The old city of Khiva is surrounded by 2.5 km of walls. Its height reaches 10 meters and thickness up to 6 meters, round defensive towers are built every 30 meters of the wall. There are many attractions in a city with an area of less than 1 sq. km. Ichan-Qala is a typical eastern ancient city. It is decorated with narrow, small streets leading to huge buildings.
