The number of private cars in Uzbekistan has approached 5 million
According to the National Statistics Committee, as of April 1 of this year, the number of motor vehicles owned by individuals in Uzbekistan amounted to 4 million 903.1 thousand. The bulk of registered vehicles are passenger cars, their share is 92.8 percent. The number of passenger cars owned by individuals in the country has reached 4 million 552.3 thousand units.
Also, 330.3 thousand trucks, 7.5 thousand minibuses, 7.2 thousand special vehicles and 5.8 thousand buses belonging to the population have been registered. These figures indicate that the number of motor vehicles in Uzbekistan has increased by 344.6 thousand compared to the same period last year.
