The number of permanent residents of Tashkent has exceeded 3 million people

According to the statistics agency, as of October 1, 2023, the number of permanent residents living in Tashkent was 3 million 20.5 thousand people.

From this:

1481.9 thousand men;
1538.6 thousand women.
For the first time, the capital's population exceeded 1 million in 1960, 2 million in 1985, and now over 3 million.

The number of permanent residents of Uzbekistan is 36 million 372 thousand people. The number of permanent residents is increasing by an average of 2,000 people per day.
Compared to the same period last year, the population of the republic increased by 2.2%.
Uzbeks will increase by an average of 57.9 thousand people in each month of 2023
As of July 1, the permanent population of the capital was 2 million 999 thousand 500 people.
Earlier, it was reported that 716,885 live births were registered in Uzbekistan in January-September 2023.
