Deputy Head of the Communications Service at a press conference announced an increase in the number of Internet users in Tajikistan

An increase in active Internet users has been recorded in Tajikistan.

This was announced during a press conference by Deputy Head of the Communications Service Ilhomjon Atoev.

According to the results of the first half of 2023, the number of Network users in the republic reached 4.5 million people.

It is noted that the total number of clients in the field of communications reaches 8.3 million.

Thus, among them, active customers are 5.6 million people.

This indicator, according to information provided by the Deputy Head of the Communications Service, is 800 thousand less than in January 2023.

The cost of mobile communications has decreased in Tajikistan

Earlier, the Tajik Communications Service reported a one and a half increase in the profits of mobile communication providers.

According to statistics, the income of providers over the past 3 months has increased by 50% compared to the same period in 2022, and exceeded one billion somoni.

Deputy Head of the Communications Service Ilhomjon Atoev told Sputnik Tajikistan that by the end of 2023, it is planned to install 450 new transmitters throughout the country. Thanks to this, according to him, the distribution of traffic will be facilitated, and the throughput will increase.
