In Tajikistan, law enforcement officers record a decrease in the number of citizens who use drugs.

This was stated by a representative of the Drug Control Agency at a reporting press conference in Dushanbe.

So, according to official data, according to the results of 6 months of 2023, more than 4.1 thousand drug addicts were recorded on the territory of the republic. This is 254 people, or 5.7% less compared to the same period last year.

It was also noted that out of the total number of registered 103 people are women. Whereas in 2022 there were 100 registered.

The department noted that for the prevention of drug addiction among the population, conversations are regularly organized, work is carried out among young people, and the media are also widely involved, including television, radio and periodicals.
