The new Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan Aimurad Kochmuradov began his diplomatic mission in Tajikistan.

Today, August 3, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin accepted copies of credentials from Aimurad Kochmuradov, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

After the ceremony, Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Aimurad Kochmuradov discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan in the political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, scientific and other fields that are of mutual interest to both countries

Recall that in mid-July, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov dismissed Khemra Togalakov, the country's ambassador to Tajikistan.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on January 27, 1993.
