The Dutch government will provide additional aid to the Gaza Strip in the amount of 10 million euros, the ANP news agency reported, referring to the words of the Minister of Trade and Development of the Netherlands Lische Schreinemacher.
According to the agency, funds are sent through, among others, the UN and Red Cross organizations.
The minister said that these funds are intended for the purchase of medicines, food and water.
At the same time, he admitted that providing aid to the needy in the Gaza Strip is a difficult task and that the situation in the region is of "grave concern".
The Dutch government is in favor of opening a humanitarian corridor for the delivery of aid through Egypt, said Schreinemacher.
