On November 15, 2023, the National Bank issued a commemorative banknote with a face value of 10,000 tenge, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan into circulation. This was reported by the regulator's press service.
The banknote has 19 security elements. The coin design is based on the tenge sign - ₸ using a locally applied holographic element. The “Möbius strip” is also inscribed on both sides of the banknote as a symbol of endless movement.
The front side of the banknote depicts a map of Kazakhstan with regions, designed in a traditional style using elements of Kazakh ornament. The reverse side of the banknote depicts the general outline of a map of the Eurasian continent. It has a 5mm magnetic security thread and a Spark element in the form of a ₸ sign.
The anniversary banknote with a face value of 10,000 tenge is required to be accepted at face value throughout Kazakhstan for all types of payments, as well as for crediting to bank accounts and for transfer, change and exchange in all banks of Kazakhstan.
