According to Uzhydromet, surface water samples were taken from canals and reservoirs in Tashkent and analyzed.
It is noted that the composition of chemical pollutants was studied by the water pollution index (SII).
Bozsow Canal - Teleminor area. An increase in the concentration of copper was noted - 1.6 rem. The oxygen regime is satisfactory, the concentration of dissolved oxygen is 11.34-11.34 mgO/2l. Water quality class II pure water, SII - 0.73;
Karasuv Canal - in the Furkat park. An increase in the concentration of nitrite nitrogen - 1.05 REM, phenol - 6.0 REM, copper - 2.2 REM was noted. The oxygen regime is satisfactory, the concentration of dissolved oxygen is 11.33 mgO/2l. Water quality class III water moderately polluted, SII - 1.87;
Salar Canal - below the Ecopark. An increase in the concentration of copper was noted - 4.6 rem. The oxygen regime is satisfactory, the concentration of dissolved oxygen is 8.36 mgO/2l. Water quality class III water moderately polluted, SII - 1.28;
The Ankhor Canal is below the Moscow Ring Road. An increase in the concentration of oil products - 7.4 REM, copper - 1.2 REM was noted. The oxygen regime is satisfactory, the concentration of dissolved oxygen is 11.32 mgO/2l. Water quality class III water moderately polluted, SII - 1.68;
The Boriyar Canal is the territory of the Magic City Park. An increase in the concentration of copper - 1.4 rem. The oxygen regime is satisfactory, the concentration of dissolved oxygen is 10.76 mgO/2l. Water quality II class of pure water, SII - 0.54.
Compared to the previous week, the quality of water in the canals of the city of Tashkent and the reservoirs of the Tashkent region has not undergone significant changes. According to the adopted classification according to the water pollution index (WPI), the canals of Tashkent belong to classes II and III and correspond to clean and moderately polluted water.
For reference, for a comprehensive assessment of the quality of surface waters, the water pollution index (SIII) is used. It allows not only to compare water quality in different reservoirs, but also to evaluate its temporal and spatial dynamics.
Prior to this, the state of compliance with the current procedures and standards in the composition of wastewater entering the construction of the "Bozsuv treatment facilities", their treatment and discharge into the Nizhny Bozsuv canal by experts from the Prosecutor General's Office of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change reported that it was being studied with the participation
