'The Mummy' posters banned from the London Underground
The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned posters for director Lee Cronin's film The Mummy from being displayed in the London Underground.
The regulator said the image of a mummified young girl on the poster resembled a deceased child and could frighten young children.
The ASA reviewed 30 complaints and ordered that the posters must not be displayed again in their current form.
However, the film's television commercials and Prime Video advertisements were found to comply with advertising rules and were not subject to any restrictions.
The Mummy was released in the United Kingdom on April 17 and has earned $2.9 million at the British box office.
