The Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education have been merged into a single ministry.

By a presidential decree, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations have been reorganized into the Ministry of Education and Science.
The new ministry will manage all stages of education—from preschool to higher education—as well as scientific activities within a unified system.
The goal of the reform is to enhance the quality and effectiveness of education, ensure continuity between educational stages, and elevate human capital development to a new level.
Additionally, Ilhom Tohirovich Sirojev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Science for Compliance and Internal Anti-Corruption Control. He was relieved of his position as Deputy to the Head of the Presidential Administration for Education Reform.
