The Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a statement regarding a 19-year-old blogger who sparked public controversy after raising funds to allegedly repair her burned house and later purchasing a car.

According to the ministry, in early December the blogger posted a video saying her house had burned down and asked her followers for help to restore it. Some time later, she shared another video announcing the purchase of a Kia car, which led to heated discussions on social media. The blogger later admitted that the car had been given to her as a gift.

The MIA reported that a preventive conversation was held with the blogger, during which she acknowledged that she had acted in order to increase her number of followers and benefit from social media.

The ministry also stated that no official complaints have yet been received, but if citizens submit appeals, the situation will be reviewed in accordance with the law.
