The Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan proposes to amend the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On approval of the medium-term tariff policy for electricity for 2021-2025". The document has been submitted for public discussion.

The agency notes that the previously approved tariff policy provides for the establishment of tariffs for all consumer groups until 2025 with an annual adjustment for inflation. But there are special coefficients. Their ministry wants to remove them.

To simplify the application of electricity tariffs for certain groups of consumers, it is proposed to cancel the multiplying factor for the following groups of consumers:

population using electricity without limiting consumption and capacity;
public and private electric vehicle charging stations that use electricity without limiting consumption and power;
subjects of mining (cryptocurrency);
enterprises of the gold mining industry (gold recovery factories);
foundries, melting shops;
enterprises for the production of alcoholic products;
cement factories.
As a result, the tariffs will be:

for the population using electricity without limiting consumption and capacity - 327.6 tyiyn per kilowatt-hour;
for charging stations for electric vehicles using electricity without limiting consumption and power - 442 tyiyn per kilowatt hour;
for mining (cryptocurrency), gold mining, alcohol industry - 504 tyiyn per kilowatt-hour, excluding taxes;
for foundry and smelting production - 504 tyiyn per kilowatt-hour, excluding taxes;
for cement production - 327.6 tyiyn per kilowatt-hour, excluding taxes.
In addition, it is proposed to state in a new edition the name of some groups of electricity consumers and set a tariff for subjects of renewable energy sources (RES).

“These changes will not affect the amount of payment for electricity, as the final tariffs will remain the same,” the Ministry of Energy emphasized.
