The Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan announced that it intends to block the popular social network TikTok. "Taking into account many appeals and based on the monitoring, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy has decided to stop the distribution of the TikTok service in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic," the report said. This decision was sent to the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan for further implementation within the framework of legal documents. The Ministry of Culture cited repeated appeals regarding the negative impact of the materials posted on this social network on children's psychological development and health as the reason for such a step.
