The Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan recorded an increase in yields

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan emphasized the positive dynamics in the development of this sector during the first six months of 2023

In the six months of 2023, the volume of agricultural production increased.

This was stated by the Minister of the relevant department of Tajikistan Kurbon Hakimzoda.

It is noted that the growth of indicators, compared to the same period in 2022, amounted to 7.9%.

"Including a record harvest of apricots," Kurbon Khakimzoda drew attention.

According to him, the volume of harvested fruits "is twice as much as last year."

In addition, the Minister of Agriculture stressed that the production of all types of agricultural products increased from 1 to 10.2%.

However, the exceptions were potatoes, grapes, eggs and honey, the yield of which decreased from 0.3 to 4.1%.

Ahmadzoda visited the fair of agricultural products in Khujand

Tajik Minister of Agriculture Qurbon Hakimzoda cited climatic conditions this summer as the reason for the crop cut.

Earlier, heavy rains caused floods in the village of Urmetan, Ayni district, Sughd region.

According to preliminary information from the Committee for Emergency Situation and Civil Defense, 63 households were affected by the flood, including 7 residential buildings, 56 utility rooms and household plots.
