The Information Service of the Ministry of Agriculture commented on the publication “River” on reports of an increase in the price of flour in the markets, followed by an increase in the price of bread and bakery products.

In order to provide the population with flour products, about 8 million tons of wheat are grown in our country every year. The demand is 104.4%.

In September of this year, prices in peasant markets operating in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent were studied.

Retail sales in the markets range from Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,500, depending on the higher and 1st grade flour packaging of the brands “365 days”, “Turon”, “Mutabar”, “golden grain”, “Makfa” and others produced in Russia and Kazakhstan, while wholesale sales range from Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000.

This shows that the price has increased by 200-300 soums compared to the corresponding period of the previous year (an increase of more than this due to the establishment of a free price on trade stalls in places). One of the reasons for this is the result of the fact that the turnover of products entering from Russia and Kazakhstan is carried out in foreign currency.

In addition, the announcement that the Kazakh side will close its enterprises to prophylaxis for 15 days for seasonal technical inspection and sanitary cleaning in Flour Mills was also one of the factors contributing to price instability in this sigment. This is considered an annual seasonal Oscillation, and the same was observed in the corresponding period of last year. In a 20-day report, prices not only returned to place, but also showed a downward trend. This is also confirmed by the analysis of the situation in our market.

Indeed, in the domestic market of Kazakhstan, the price has increased, and this is explained by the fact that grain harvesting begins. That is, wheat, which remained in warehouses until harvest, decreased in sales. Russian traders also used this to increase prices in the window of temporary opportunities.

But in the Chicago Stock Market, the price of the grain contract for the next year has fallen significantly. Nevertheless, when harvesting begins in Kazakhstan, prices are projected to stabilize. The harvest is delayed due to adverse weather conditions these days.

The wholesale price of flour products produced in our country is 4,000-4,500 rubles, in retail-5,000-6,000 rubles. These prices indicate a price increase compared to August, as well as a lack of agiotage by the population.

Today, regional headquarters for monitoring the prices of basic types of food are established, and systematic work is being carried out to monitor the prices of food in markets and commercial stalls, as well as to prevent a sharp increase in prices.

It is a pity that the price increase, presumably, is due to the closure of enterprises in exporter countries for seasonal sanitary cleaning, fluctuations in the background of similar messages are becoming spontaneous, of course. Usually this is also observed in other segments.

The Ministry of Agriculture has called on media representatives to check the reliability of the information being disseminated and provide unbiased information, considering that such cases have been observed in previous years and this is a seasonal oscillation!
