The Minister of Sports and Tourism of Belarus held a number of negotiations in Ashgabat

From June 19 to 21, the Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Kovalchuk paid a working visit to Turkmenistan, during which he met with the Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan Gulmurad Agamuradov.
At the meeting, the head of the sports department of Belarus presented the concept of holding the II Games of the CIS countries, the country's sports infrastructure, the possibilities of the BSUPC sports cluster and invited the national teams of Turkmenistan to participate in joint training camps and competitions. There was also a presentation on medical and scientific support in the field of sports.
Sergei Kovalchuk also met with Deputy Minister of Culture Nursakhet Shirimov. The Minister of Sports and Tourism of Belarus presented the tourism potential of his country at this meeting and emphasized the inextricable link between sports and culture, speaking in favor of a regular exchange of experience, including in organizing events.
At the meeting, issues of topical areas for the development of cooperation in the tourism industry, the organization of bilateral press tours, as well as the introduction of a visa-free regime during sports and cultural events were discussed.
The head of the sports department of Belarus invited the Turkmen side to participate in the international exhibition "Recreation-2024", which will be held in April next year in Minsk.
