The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met with the special assistant of the President of the USA

The delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov visited the USA on September 3-7. This was reported by the press service of the MFA.

It is noted that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Special Assistant to the US President Nicholas Berliner, New York Mayor Eric Adams, Chairman of the US Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee Gary Peters, World Bank Vice President Antonella Bassani and a US held separate meetings with the leaders of a number of leading companies.

During the negotiations, issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation in various directions were discussed. Special attention is paid to the activation of trade-economic and investment cooperation.

As part of the visit, the Uzbek-American IT Association TechBridge project, aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of information and communication, was launched.

"The IT association launched the #TechBridge project. We would like to thank all our compatriots for their contribution and strong desire to strengthen the existing bridges between the two countries and build new ones in this promising field. There is no doubt that this project will create a multiplier effect in the future," Bakhtiyor Saidov wrote on his Telegram page.

The delegation of Uzbekistan also took part in the solemn event dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence in the building of the US Congress Library.

At the end of August, the assistant to the President of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva discussed the issues of the upcoming visit to the USA with the American ambassador to Uzbekistan.

Let us remind you that on August 11, US President Joe Biden sent a letter to the head of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and invited him to New York. In the letter, Biden thanked Shavkat Mirziyoyev for strengthening the strategic partnership between the United States and Uzbekistan, and also noted that the cooperation between the countries has reached a new level over the past year.
